About this Race
This race celebrates the F4U Corsair of WWII, which was nicknamed “Whistling Death” by the Japanese. It was the Marine Corps main fighter in the Pacific. Many of the pilots were trained in Green Cove Springs!

You can register at any of our 1st Place Sports stores on our instore computers.
Packet Pickup
Packets will be available for pick up at the 1st Place Sports Baymeadows store location on Thursday, September 7th from 10AM – 6PM and Friday, September 8th from 10AM – 5PM. All packets will be moved to the race site for raceday pick up beginning an hour before the race.
Awards
All finishers will receive a custom finisher medal.
Course
The race will traverse the various roads and runways of the old airbase.
