OE&S RUN FOR THE PIES

Two unique races designed for both the serious and the fun runner. The Mizuno 5K Championship will be held first then its time for the famous OE&S Run for the Pies featuring a pie carrying, pie eating and pie costume contest.

MIZUNO CHAMPIONSHIP 5K

Championship 5K starts at 7:30 PM

Men & Women

One Kilometer - five loop course, starts in front of Jacksonville Landing

This race is open to any male who has run under 17:00 and female under 20:00 for a 5K in the last year. Mizuno running shoes will be given to all males who break 16:30 and females who break 20:00 in the championship 5K. In addition, prize money will be paid as follows:

Men and Women Overall

1st Place $200, 2nd Place $100, 3rd Place $50

The women will start two minutes ahead of the men. The first person to finish will receive a $100 bonus.

OPEN RACE

Starts at 8:00 PM in front of Jacksonville Landing

Open to all runners, joggers and walkers. The OE&S Run for the Pies is designed to give more runners a chance to win in their age group. Custom designed Run for the Pies medals will be given up to 15 deep in some age groups (see below). Plus, you can also win a Pie!

RACE PACKET PICKUP

You must pick a location on the entry form.

ChampionChip timing devices must be picked up on race day in front of the Jacksonville Landing.

All packets will be moved to the front steps of the Jacksonville Landing for pick up starting at 6:00 PM on race day.

PARKING FOR THE RACE

Parking is available in many different lots around the Jacksonville Landing

Race Timing

Pick up the timing chip at the starting area on race day!

This race will be timed using the state-of-the-art ChampionChip timing system. You must attach the timing chip to your shoe prior to the start of the race. Wearing the chip enables us to give you a net time (time from the start to the finish) as well as a gun time. All timing chips must be returned after you finish the race in the finish area. Runners/walkers who do not return their chips will be billed the $30.00 replacement cost.

Please do not wear a personal chip and rental chip at the same time.

Results

Results will be posted inside the Landing at the courtyard soon after you finish the race. Complete race results will be posted on this site the day after the race.

The best place to stay for the Run for the Pies is the Wyndham Jacksonville Riverwalk Hotel located at 1515 Prudential Drive on the Southbank in downtown Jacksonville. They are offering a discounted rate. To make reservations call 904-396-5100.
