Join Us!

As we gear up for a 2017 opening of The Cowford Chophouse, we will be hosting the first annual MOO-VE IT 5K on March 4, 2017. This family friendly event will consist of a one-mile fun run to begin at 9:30am, and a 5K, which will start at 10:00am. There will be a post-race block party to celebrate, which will include music, beer, and food. There will also be medals for all finishers and an award ceremony to follow the race completion. Each participant will receive a race bag with specialty items.

The MOO-VE IT 5K will benefit North Florida School of Special Education, a local non-profit organization, whose mission is to improve the lives of students with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities through the achievement of academic, vocational and social skills. The school, founded in 1992, serves children and young adults, age 6 – 22 years, with a variety of intellectual disabilities including Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Trau-matic Brain Injury. North Florida School of Special Education offers academics, music, art, horticulture studies, vocational training, job coaching adaptive PE programs and a wide variety of enrichment and extra-curricular activities.

The proceeds from the MOO-VE IT 5K Run will benefit North Florida School of Special Education’s physical education department and running team.

Run with a Student!

You have the unique opportunity to not only help Cowford Chophouse raise funds for the school, but to run the 5K with a NFSSE student! This will be an amazing opportunity to connect directly with one of the students while you support a great cause. If you are interested in completing the run with a student partner, please mark your registration in the “I’d like to run with a NFSSE student!” portion of the registration form!
