The purpose of this guide is to give you the latest information on training and upcoming events, and to keep you updated on the running scene. This magazine can be a substitute for entry forms, so please use the forms in this book to register for any of the listed races. You can reach over 20,000 runners, walkers, and cyclists by advertising in this publication. If you would like to advertise an event in the Jacksonville Running Event Guide, call (904)731-1900 for more information. If you are entering 1st Place Sports races, you can get more information about upcoming events and results from our past races on the internet at www.1stplacesports.com. Please save this magazine for packet pickup information and day-of-race instructions. Some of the larger races will send you a confirmation of entry, but most of the time you should just pick up your packet as indicated on the race ad. The Jacksonville Running Event Guide is mailed to runners who have participated in one of our events in the last quarter. It is free! All we ask is that you let us know when you have a change of address. We wish everyone could receive a free Guide each quarter, but costs prohibit it. If you have run a race in the last quarter, we will mail you a Running Guide for the next quarter. If you do not get one and would like to receive one, you can pick up a copy at one of the 1st Place Sports running store locations.
